Participants: María Quirico, third-grade students and teacher.
The GFDD's DR Environmental Film Festival (DREFF) took its School Gardens Initiative to the students of Loyola in Santo Domingo. The students had the opportunity to learn how to grow organic vegetables and about the environmental uses of the soil. They planted fast-growing vegetables such as lettuce, radishes, spinach and various herbs. It was a unique and educational experience for the students.
